Adrian Alexander of New York, born in 1946 in Bucharest, Romania, moved to the United States in 1964 after finishing high school. Holding both U.S. and Italian citizenship, he faced early challenges when his father passed away just six months after their arrival. Determined, he supported his mother and pursued higher education, earning a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from NYU Engineering School in 1970 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1972. His resilience during these formative years set the stage for his future success. After graduation, he began a notable career in investment banking, starting at Morgan Stanley & Co. and then moving to Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb as VP of Mergers and Acquisitions. In 1978, his career took him to Milan, Italy, where he worked for executive search firm Egon Zehnder, recruiting executives for multinational clients until 1983. This experience underscored his capacity to navigate and influence across diverse cultural landscapes. Returning to the U.S., he demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit by acquiring and revitalizing Minneapolis Sport, a chain of ailing sporting goods stores he successfully sold to its franchisees. His strategic acumen continued to shine when he joined Polly Peck International, Plc as Vice President of Acquisitions in 1987, leading the acquisition of Del Monte Fresh Fruit Company and developing the company’s strategy in Eastern Europe. From 1991 to 1994, he advised the founder of a regional corporate stationery, transforming it into a $2 billion multinational office products distributor. He also headed a boutique investment bank, focusing on financing emerging healthcare companies and facilitating significant venture capital investments. 1996, he founded the Phoenix Real Estate Fund in New York, managing and eventually selling over 200 properties. In 2000, he established Technology Seed Capital, a venture capital fund that supported early-stage technology companies over three years. He co-founded Limores.net in 2004, an innovative online platform for ground transportation that operated until 2006. He also managed and turned around an imaging center in Astoria, New York, which he sold in 2014. In 2010, he founded Health Settlement, LLC, and in 2014, he partnered with U.S. Claims, a leader in personal injury finance, marking another phase of his diverse and successful career. On a personal note, Adrian Alexander enjoys chess and poker, which require strategic thinking and patience—skills he has applied throughout his professional life. He is also a devoted family man, looking forward to celebrating his 29th wedding anniversary with his wife Susi in July 2025. Adrian Alexander of New York's journey from a Romanian immigrant to a successful American entrepreneur highlights his resilience, strategic prowess, and ability to adapt and thrive in various professional and personal challenges.
