I was born and raised just outside Seattle, Washington. We still reside in the Pacific Northwest. I‘ve been married to my wife, Joni 27 years; with 2 daughters, Jena and Becca. Spiritually, I was raised Lutheran, but lost interest in church altogether for a number of years through high school and college. Then, in October, 1985 I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ at Cornerstone Baptist Church, met my wife-to-be a few months later and were married within the year (1986). We attended that church for 3 years, leaving due to leadership challenges. After this, we fellowshipped for several years at Berean Bible Church in North Seattle. Since 1996, we've attended the growing, non-denominational Highline Christian Church where we are actively involved. I teach adult Sunday School and my wife is on staff one day a week. Educationally, I hold a B.S. in Business Administration from Central Washington University but have dedicated myself to learning as a continual process. John Maxwell is one of my favorite teachers on leadership. I've had management experience with a Fortune 50 company. After being self-employed in the Insurance Industry for 18 Yrs., I'm now employed with a local company that has been in business since 1896. I specialize in the Residential Sales market. Recreationally, I’m an avid cyclist. It is a great way to enjoy God's creation and stay fit! I’ve been a serious student of God’s Word since a new believer. The deep things of God have always held an intense interest for me. Though a student, much of my growth must be attributed to having good mentors. My active involvement on Lockmans’ Study Bible Forum for 12 years was an interesting volunteer ministry. It provided me with much “real life” theological perspective as well as being a tremendous blessing in helping others find solid answers. The Westminster Catechism would essentially summarize my beliefs. I'm still tend toward a dispensational framework in my theology but have learned the virtue of agreeing to disagree agreeably in disputable matters (Rom.14:1). I favor an irenic approach as opposed to a polemic. You might refer to me now as a "Reformed Dispensationalist"! I'm an avid student of Reformed Theology, Church History and the works of Spurgeon and Edwards. Galatians 2:20 has been my theme verse. As I’ve matured spiritually, I have come to be more accepting of others who differ doctrinally, yet are orthodox in respect to the essentials of our faith. Sound Doctrine is a passion (Tit. 1:9, 2:1)! I’m also an Associate Member of the Evangelical Theological Society since 2012. I can be reached via my e-mail: bdkrantz@comcast.net.
