Billie Dee

Billie is the former Poet Laureate of the US National Library Service. She studied painting and art history at the San Francisco Art Institute, earned her doctoral degree from the University of California at Irvine. Her background as a lyric-narrative poet in traditional Eurocentric styles informs her current focus on Japaniform poetry, including haikai, renku, haibun, haiga, tanka and related variations. A native Californian, she currently lives in rural New Mexico. Billie publishes both online and off.
