Who Am I My name is Pete Ansara. I have a day job. Please feel free to leave me a comment or two on my blog posts. What Is This Blog About I created this site for personal expression. Every time I get a chance I venture somewhere to take pictures of everyday life. I am inspired by lots of things. I like studying other photographers; their views and photos. I am inspired by Vivian Maier, Mathew Brady, George S. Cook, Edward Sheriff Curtis, Garry Winogrand and others. I like taking photos of people, places and things. I like the play light has on subjects. I especially like street scenes of everyday life we walk by but pay no attention. I generally shoot images at 1/500 of a second. This means that it would take me 1 second of total time snapping the shutter to achieve 500 photographs in a second. Who Do I Shoot For I shoot for me and me only. I shoot for others to see my work I like it when others like my work. I take pictures because it satisfies me. It allows me to escape from everyday pressures like work and people. I have been taking pictures on and off for 35 plus years or so. I shoot anywhere and anytime. It is not beyond ne to jump in my vehicle on a moments notice and drive 3 or more hours to shoot. What Equipment Do I Use I shoot with my Leica M4 (a film camera) digital point and shoot cameras, DSLRs and whatever sparks my fancy including an iPad and iPod. Gear does not matter! I develop film, scan it and use Photoshop as my dark room for post production. I also use a variety of apps for the iPad and iPod. Where Do I Go I shoot anywhere and everywhere. Most images I shoot come from where I reside, the Tacoma and Seattle, Washington area and parts beyond in the State. I also like going to Yellowstone and the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. I generally always carry a photographic device.
