Hi, I am a professor of English and Women's and Gender Studies at Eastern Michigan University, in Ypsilanti, Michigan (about 40 minutes west of Detroit). I teach all sorts of courses, from introductions to literature, to more advanced undergraduate courses in poetry and women's literature (both Anglo-American and global) to graduate courses in Literary Theory and 20th-century American Poetry. I am originally from Germany (I grew up in West Berlin) and have lived in the country for many, many years. Because of my background, I am also interested in German literature and culture and in translation.
