Eric Kleiner

Eric Kleiner is a consultant, community advocate and philanthropist whose leadership has benefited children and families. As president, he guided Tenafly Youth Basketball, expanding the league and promoting programs for children with special needs. Eric also co-chaired the Play Fore the Kids Golf Classic, a tournament that raised millions for autism and disability causes. In addition, he backs essential organizations like the Kaplen JCC and the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, which are advancing health and education programs. In addition to his work with youth sports, Kleiner has strongly advocated for local organizations that support children, families, and seniors. He has worked closely with the Kaplen Jewish Community Center to help fund programs that provide essential services to those in need. His contributions have ensured that the center remains a vital community resource. Eric is also involved with the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, where he has helped secure funding for initiatives that support local communities. His commitment to improving health and public welfare is also demonstrated through his work with the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, where he has supported fundraising efforts to advance research and treatment options for diabetes. One of Kleiner’s most rewarding experiences has been his work with the Challenger Program within Tenafly Youth Basketball. This program was designed to offer children with special needs the chance to participate in basketball, helping them build confidence, teamwork, and essential life skills. His leadership and advocacy for the program have allowed these children to experience the benefits of sports, impacting their lives. When he’s not focused on his professional and charitable endeavors, Kleiner enjoys attending live music events to connect with others and enjoy the shared music experience. However, his most significant source of inspiration and support remains his family, to whom he credits much of his success.
