Faryt Kalhil

he/him · Doral, Florida

Faryt Kalhil began his career in aviation in 1985, starting as a mechanic at AeroThrust Corporation. He immersed himself in technical work early on and steadily built a diverse skill set. Within a few years, he earned certifications in machinist operations, welding inspection, plasma spraying, electroplating, and non-destructive testing. These certifications gave him a wide range of expertise and a strong understanding of engine maintenance. His path forward was shaped by a constant desire to improve. Faryt became an FAA-certified Powerplant Mechanic and went on to become an ISO 9000 Lead Auditor. He also qualified in quality management, auditing, and executive coaching. Each step reflected his commitment to learning and contributing at a higher level—not only by strengthening his abilities but by supporting the people he worked with. Over time, Faryt transitioned from technical work to leadership at AeroThrust. He introduced formal systems for performance improvement and helped lead supplier development initiatives. Internally, he helped implement Total Quality Management (TQM), Lean Manufacturing (LFS), World Class Manufacturing (WCM), and ISO 9000. These systems created measurable efficiency improvements and helped the company develop more structured and reliable operations. In 2001, Faryt stepped into senior leadership, first as Vice President of Quality and later as President. His promotion came just after the events of 9/11, during a turbulent time for the aviation industry. Despite these challenges, he led a significant turnaround. Revenue grew from $32 million to over $107 million. The company added new engine programs like the CFM56, secured over $190 million in new business, and cut operational cycle times by 60%. In addition to these results, he focused on transforming the internal culture, emphasizing performance and collaboration. After nearly two decades at AeroThrust, Faryt decided to launch his venture. In 2011, he acquired Millennium Engine Associates and established Global Engine Maintenance (GEM). At the time, GEM had $1.2 million in annual revenue. Within two years, he grew the company to $12.5 million. By 2019, it had become a respected name in the industry. He relocated operations to a modern facility in Doral, Florida, and centered GEM’s capabilities on the CFM56 engine platform. After selling his interest in 2019, the company continued to reflect the strong culture and standards he had built. Faryt had also founded Global Turbine Investments (GTI) in 2009, a company focused on engine asset management and aviation parts investment. GTI expanded steadily under his leadership and became one of the trusted names in the global aviation sector. What began with only a few transactions grew into a company known for reliability, strategy, and consistent delivery. In addition to his aviation ventures, Faryt created SuccessU, a coaching and software platform that blends leadership development with personal growth. SuccessU offers structured tools and executive coaching for professionals who are focused on strategy, mindset, and sustainable progress. Through this platform, he shares knowledge gained from decades of business leadership. As a coach and mentor, Faryt works with executive leaders from different industries and regions. He has led Lean/Six Sigma rollouts in Latin America and Europe and delivers coaching in both Spanish and English. He adapts to the local environment while staying focused on clear execution and performance. He often supports organizations going through major change and brings a calm, focused approach to leadership development. Faryt is also passionate about the deeper aspects of human development. His interests include subconscious reprogramming, neurogenesis, personal power, and intentional life design. These subjects shape his workshops and talks, where he guides others to take ownership of their growth—both professionally and personally. While working full-time, Faryt completed his education. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA in each and placing first in his class. Earlier, he earned associate degrees in computer programming and data processing from Miami Dade College, further strengthening his foundation in systems and operations. In addition to his academic background, Faryt is a Certified Executive Coach, Certified Quality Manager, and ISO 9000 Lead Auditor. He holds technical licenses in electroplating, CNC machining, and as a Powerplant Mechanic. This mix of technical and leadership experience gives him the ability to work across all levels of a business. Faryt’s approach to business is rooted in building systems that create lasting value. He leads with structure and focus, encourages accountability, and stays adaptable when change is needed. He avoids shortcuts and prioritizes the work that makes long-term success possible. Today, he continues his work through Global Turbine Investments (GTI) while growing his coaching and speaking engagements through SuccessU. He spends his time working with businesses, mentoring leaders, and sharing ideas on performance and transformation. Faryt Kalhil remains committed to helping others build sustainable systems, strong teams, and lives designed with purpose.
