Hi Everyone! I'm Liyah, an amateur historian/foodie. I first started this blog for my senior capstone project, and after I graduated and realized I actually had free time again I decided to pick it back up! The Heart of Cookery is where I record my adventures in historical cooking. It features recipes to try, transcriptions from real historical cookbooks, and interviews with experts in the field.
