The Editor

This a notebook of new and commentary of events from around the world. The topics of posts could range from the aftermath of imperialism to the parliamentary elections in Turkey or the push for independence in Scotland. The author hopes that this blog will illuminate areas of the world which have yet to see light. This includes the lesser known facts about political current events in the west, especially in the United Kingdom and the United States. This blog is named in the spirit of Ferdinand Magellan, Portuguese explorer who spearheaded the first successful effort to circumnavigate the world in 1519.
