Melissa Anne DuBois, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, CE, LC
Melissa Anne DuBois, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, CE, LC, is an accomplished perinatal nurse, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor in Central Massachusetts. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing. She studies the effects of obstetric violence on patient and public health, as well as the secondary trauma and moral injury that can arise from witnessing obstetric violence as a perinatal nurse. Melissa Anne has extensive OBGYN nursing experience in various perinatal settings, including inpatient labor, delivery, postpartum, well-nursery, and high-risk antepartum units, as well as outpatient OBGYN offices, homebirth, and home visiting. She is passionate about women's health and reproductive justice, informed choice in childbirth, respectful maternity care, trauma-informed care, non-pharmacological bedside labor support skills, and nursing education.
