We didn’t mean to become nomads ourselves but things seem to be working out that way. We’re an American family who lived nearly 6 years in Nouakchott, Mauritania, located where the sands of the Sahara meet the waters of the Atlantic. Along the way we spent a year in the French Alps, a year in Oregon, and then two years in Rabat, Morocco. We’re currently back in Oregon. This blog chronicles the various aspects of our lives, from adjusting again to the US (easier said than done) to the kids experiencing American schools for the first time.
