Attracted to the way light plays off a variety of surfaces, I am a mixed media artist who works in at least three dimensions. A long-time painter, I have evolved over the past decade to become a passionate maker of compelling objects. Through personal sculpting techniques and combining mediums, I opened the doorway to creating these unique works of art. The handcrafted results are pieces that are both contemporary and reminiscent of an ancient, tribal world. The spirit of honored ceremony, personal expression and primal celebration is inherent in the work throughout My creative process. The common threads in My artwork are intuition and emotional connection and healing. Several of these works are always in development at one time to keep the flow of creativity alive. Intuitive methods guide My hands to shape and combine pieces that feel right together. Collaborating with the work ignites a form of storytelling that influences My original ideas for each piece. The titles I choose come from My holistic intentions placed into the making of the work and as a beginning point for the You the viewer to perhaps feel those intentions. My various use of color, texture, symbols, and abstracted text leave room for each viewer to have their own perfect experience.
