I am a 5th year interior design student at the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University. Why 5th year? I took my junior year off to participate in an undergraduate thesis program called InterFuture and studied adolescent volunteerism in Ireland and Tanzania for a semester each. When I returned I felt an even greater passion for design and what it can achieve, if nothing else but happiness. I enjoy teddy grams, sailing, astrology, and fashion, but someone once told me "If you look hard enough, you could find anything interesting." Which is a philosophy that follows me to this day. Throughout my 5 years, finding comprehensive interior design websites and credible manufacturer resources was a struggle. Just googling chaise lounge was a death sentence. I knew there had to be better companies out there, but had no idea where to start looking. So that's exactly what I intend the Couch Conspiracy to offer: a jumping off point to start looking and a place to keep yourself organized. I have bigger dreams for the CC, of course, more specific search engine and member user names and passwords where each individual would have their own folder (much like etsy.com). This wordpress is just my stepping stone to what I hope to be a helpful source to students, and whoever else feels the urge to design:) Thanks for reading, and have a look around!
